Getting your two keys. No tech skills needed.

ScriptPin needs two free "keys" to work — think of them like passwords that let the app use two services on your behalf. We'll get both, step by step. Just follow along and copy-paste.

What are these keys, in plain English?

ScriptPin runs on your computer, but it borrows two outside tools to do its job. Each tool gives you a key so the app can use your account. You only do this once.

Deepgram is the "ears." It listens to your meeting and turns the talking into text. Comes with $200 free — no credit card.

Anthropic (Claude) is the "brain." It reads that text and writes your live answers, notes, and coaching. Has a free starting tier.

Your audio and notes go straight from your computer to these two services — never through us. You pay them directly only for what you use (usually a few dollars a month), so there's no subscription to ScriptPin.

Create your free Deepgram account

Open Deepgram signup →
If the button doesn't work, type this into your browser: console.deepgram.com/signup
  1. Sign up with your email (or click Continue with Google to use your Gmail).
  2. Check your email for a verification link and click it.
  3. You'll land on the Deepgram Console (your dashboard). Your $200 free credit is already there — no card needed.

Copy your Deepgram key

  1. On the left-hand menu, click API Keys.
  2. Click the Create a New API Key button (top right).
  3. Give it any name (e.g. "ScriptPin") and click Create Key.
  4. A long code appears. Click the copy icon next to it. Keep this tab open — paste it into ScriptPin in Step 5.
Tip: Paste it somewhere safe for a moment (like a Notes app) so you don't lose it while you grab the second key.

Create your Anthropic (Claude) account

Open Anthropic Console →
If the button doesn't work, type this into your browser: console.anthropic.com
  1. Click Sign up (or Continue with Google).
  2. Verify your email if asked, and answer the couple of quick profile questions.
  3. You'll arrive at the Anthropic Console (your dashboard).

Copy your Anthropic key

  1. Click Settings (bottom-left), then API keys — or just go straight to console.anthropic.com/settings/keys.
  2. Click Create Key, give it a name (e.g. "ScriptPin"), and confirm.
  3. A code starting with sk-ant- appears. Click Copy right away.
Important: Anthropic shows this key only once. Copy it now. If you lose it, no harm done — just delete it and create a new one.
Note: To use Claude beyond the small free starting credit, Anthropic may ask you to add a payment method under Settings → Billing. You're only charged for what you use — typically a few dollars a month.

🔑 In ScriptPin

Paste both keys into the app

  1. Open ScriptPin and click the 🔑 Keys button (top of the window).
  2. Paste your Deepgram key into the Deepgram field.
  3. Paste your Anthropic key (the sk-ant- one) into the AI provider field.
  4. Click Save. You'll see a green "key valid" confirmation.
That's it. Your keys are stored only on your computer. You won't need to do this again on this device.
